Nelson Mandela dies

Nelson Mandela died at the age of 95 after leading the life as a modern day hero.  Nelson spent 27 years of his life in jail for his political activities supporting the people and the country that he loved.  “Our nation has lost its greatest son,” were the words of Mr. Zuma in regard to the passing of Mr. Mandela.  In a world with poor racial relations Mandela proved to be a glimmer of light.  I would put Mandela in the category of Martin Luther King when it comes to the issue of civil rights.

Nelson Mandela won the Nobel Peace Prize and is a role model for us all.  Nelson was a gift to mankind and helped black South African’s be proud of their heritage.  I admire Nelson Mandela and I hope we can all learn from the lessons that he has taught us.
